1. Who we are

Exarity (“we”, “us”) is based in South Africa and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and our demo instances. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, and your rights.

2. What we collect

From this website: your name, email address, company and role when you request a demo, and your name, email address and message when you use the contact form. We may measure visits with self-hosted, cookieless analytics that does not identify you.

From demo instances: the data a demo starts with is synthetic. Anything you add while using a demo is stored in your own isolated tenant.

3. How we use it

To respond to you, to set up your demo instance, and to send you a link and sign-in details for it. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to.

4. Who processes it for us

Vercel hosts this website and receives the forms you submit.
Form submissions are passed to the internal messaging tool our team uses to read and answer them.
Amazon Web Services (Cape Town region) hosts demo instances.
Anthropic provides the AI model behind the assistant in a demo instance.
Groq and Microsoft process speech, only if you use the optional voice features.

5. Transfers outside South Africa

Vercel, Anthropic, Groq and Microsoft may process information outside South Africa, including in the United States. We use them only for the purposes described above.

6. Cookies and browser storage

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It stores your theme preference and your cookie choice in your browser.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries and demo requests are kept while we are in conversation with you, and deleted when they are no longer needed. Access to a demo instance ends when your demo ends. We delete a demo instance and everything in it when you ask, and you can ask at any time.

8. Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and the GDPR where it applies to you, you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
